Q. What is the Top Bunk Slat Protector Upgrade?

A. With all bunk beds the person sleeping on the bottom bed has to look at the bottom of the top bunk mattress and support slats. Most slats are either black metal bars or are made from unfinished wood, neither of which match most mattresses. The Slat Protector / Cover will reduce the "eyesore" for the lower bunk sleeper, and also prevent them from being able to grab onto the slats above or even touch the top bunk mattress. The design is clean and simple, and the cover comes in White or Black. It is a reinforced plastic product that covers the area under the slats and mattress making it impossible to grab onto the slats. It also give the bed a cleaner look by concealing the slats and mattress bottom and sheets.

Q. What are the Metal Center Supports?

A. The Metal Center Support(s) is a telescoping metal bar that runs from the Headboard to the Footboard, opposite the Slats that run side rail to side rail parallel to the Headboard and Footboard. By attaching the metal center support to the bed, you are now supporting the mattress with 4 boards instead of only 2 boards. Without the adding the Metal Center Support the top Bed, the max weight recommendation is 200lbs. By adding 1 support you can increase that amount to 250lbs. You can buy 1 support for $29.99 or 2 for $39.99 when you buy your bed. If you purchase 2, we recommend adding 1 to the top bunk and 1 to the bottom bunk.

Crafted from solid pine wood, this product showcases slatted headboards, footboards, guardrails, and a built-in ladder. Utilizing every space within the bed’s structure, a fully assembled six-drawer dresser and four-shelf bookcase are built into the side to give you tons of storage opportunity, and when the kids grow up and want their separate space, the bottom full-size bed can be separated from the bunk.

Solid wood construction (no MDF or particleboard is used).
Chest section ships fully assembled and includes 6 dresser sized drawers and 4 shelves.
Chest section is reversible (can be used on the right or left side of the bed).
All drawers feature solid wood construction and European roller drawer glides with positive stops, which prevent the drawers from falling to the ground if pulled too hard.
The charcoal finish features an exciting brushed texture and slight black glaze that gives it a high-end weathered appearance. Wood knots and other finish imperfections may be present, which further enhance the weathered theme. Charcoal is a 6 step finish and is top coated with a durable wax with a subtle sheen. The finish works well with the brushed nickel hardware and while transitional, can certainly work as a contemporary or coastal finish.

Featuring a built-in ladder, 6 drawer dresser, and a four shelf bookcase, this bed is a perfect addition to any child's bedroom. The full bed features rolling castors that allow you to move the bed and position it however you'd like.

Highlights


Rolling Castors Casters are included on the legs of the full-size bottom bed. This allows the bed to easily be pulled out from under the loft when making the beds.	Built-In Dresser The chest unit includes a total of six (6) dresser-sized drawers and four (4) shelves. The inside dimensions of the drawers measure 15" D x 25" W x 4 3/4" T. The chest can be placed on either side of the bed.	Shelves Variable height shelves are located to the left of the Built-In Chest.	Drawer Details The 6 drawers within the chest section feature solid wood construction, and European roller drawer glides with a positive stop, which prevents the drawer from falling to the ground if pulled out too hard.
