The Full Size Captains Beds include Steel and Brass Hardware and uses metal to metal connections for all structural supports, making this bed strong and beautiful. There is also a center door to access the space between the drawers at the foot of the bed. There are several under bed options available for this bed. You can select the 3 drawers storage AND Twin Trundle unit that would allow you create a 2nd sleeping space OR a 6 drawers under the bed for lots of storage….OR... you can also ADD a second set of 6 drawers for just a little more and have a TRUE Captains Bed. The Discovery World Furniture Full Captain Bed comes with the slat kits included ( no need for bunkie boards ) and assembly hardware!

Configuration Options: 

• 3 Drawers & Twin Trundle - the under bed storage drawers are mounted above the twin trundle unit. The drawers and trundle face have indented drawer pulls and have european glide rollers on the drawers. Inside drawer dimensions are 15 3/4" x 21 3/8" x 4". 

• 6 Drawer Under Bed Storage Unit - The under bed storage drawers simply slide under the bed after assembly, they have indented drawer pulls and have european glide rollers. Inside drawer dimensions are 15 3/4" x 21 3/8" x 4". 

•12 Drawers - this option has an increased price as you are getting 2 three drawer units; basically this option would be selected when you are able to access both long sides of the bed ( when sticking out from the wall or centered in room like on a ship. ) 12 drawers total - great storage!

3 Drawers and Trundle

Solid Construction

Quality construction is key when building and designing children's furniture. This product is constructed from solid wood (no MDF or particleboard is used). All aspects of this bed were first designed using 3D software, which ensures that the overall design of the bed is sound and all safety issues are properly addressed. Plantation-grown furniture grade Pine is used in construction, making this bed extremely strong.

 

Honey Finish

Discovery’s Honey finish represents our light finish. There are many Honey finishes on the market today and Discovery has been developing ours over the past 27 years. It is a 4-step lacquered finish that contains mainly a light neutral tone with a golden highlight and is top-coated with a mild sheen. It is a longstanding winning finish because it adapts well in most home environments and it works well with the transitional mission styling.

Metal Slat System Metal Slat System is included making this bed mattress ready.	Drawer Details All drawers feature a European roller drawer glides with a positive stop. These glides will provide silky-smooth operation and the positive stop prevents the drawers from being pulled out and falling to the ground if pulled too hard. The inside measurement of each drawer is 15.75" D x 21 3/8" W x 4" T.	Trundle Features The twin trundle includes a wood slat kit, making it mattress ready. It can accommodate a 6.5" mattress and assembles in minutes via the use of 4 bolts.	Headboard Details The headboard includes two (2) variable height shelves that can be placed in three (3) different positions.
