I live in a small cabin in the mountains and recently my two young grandsons, 6 and 8, came to live with me. My second bedroom is only 100" x 130" and I needed a way to fit both boys in the room plus a dresser for their clothes, without getting bunkbeds. They are beautifully constructed, fit perfectly in the room, and solved my issue! Three men from my church came yesterday to my house and assembled them both in 2 hours. Great product! Our son's bed arrived yesterday and I was able to put most of it together with a minimum of help. I haven't assembled the trundle and drawers yet, but he's okay with that because now he has a ready-made fort under his bed! The bed seems sturdy, is very attractive, and arrived in perfect condition. I'm sure he will get years of use from this bed. As a side note, the deliveryman was just great (Saia shipping company). He called to ask if he could come earlier than expected, then took the bed off his truck and to our garage though I hadn't paid for the service, because my husband couldn't be there to help.

I purchased two Honey Captains Beds, Serta mattresses, and the matching dresser with mirror. My boys (ages 3 and 4) really like their new beds! I searched a long time to find good quality beds that would last them until they go off to college and I believe these beds will. It took me just under two hours to put together the first bed and the second bed only took an hour once I knew what I was doing. The dresser comes pre-assembled so all I had to do was remove it from the box and attach the mirror which took less than 10 minutes. I did purchase the metal reinforcement brackets for the beds which I think is a good investment for added support.I was so impressed with the beds and dresser that I purchased the matching desk (x2) which I'm currently waiting to receive.All in all, shipped fast with no damage, good quality wood, and easy to assemble. I will say I was skeptical of buying a large piece of furniture online but it worked out perfect for me. I received the bed in about a week from when from I ordered it and it came packaged well. I did have to schedule the delivery which they called me to set-up. The bed came in four boxes and I chose curbside delivery which was free, and honestly the driver used his pallet to bring the boxes right up to my door for me. Want a whole bedroom set? Free shipping and no sales tax (unless your in Florida) makes the price even more affordable! The set came with everything I needed to set up. I had my own mattress to use but yes they even have mattresses available. Installation took my husband and dad just a few hours, some of the pieces (the drawers) were even already put together. As far as the quality goes, its good. Its not cheap wood and its not great, its average which is what you pay for. I am using this for my almost 3 year old and I expect her to use it for many years.

One design drawback that we didn't consider - there isnt' really room in the shelves for a lamp. I'm sure we'll find something that will fit, but even a small traditional bedside lamp won't work except on top, which would be a PITA to sit up & turn off if you like to fall asleep with a book.My daughter and I put it together pretty easily, and she likes it.We were surprised to find little doors at the foot and the head of the bed! I guess they're so you can use the trundle area for storage if there's no mattress? Or for playing hide-and-seek...

Great bed. Bought this bed for my 4 year old son and he couldn't be happier. The bed delivered on time and it was easy to put together. The bed looks nice and I am very please with my purchase.

I was happy with the Captain's bed, but disappointed in the quality of the 3 Drawer Storage unit. It was not well made and kid of cheap. It is held into the bed frame with just 1 screw on each side, the drawers when closing shake the whole outside of the frame. There was also a gap that I had to fold a piece of cardboard and shove it on the inside so the drawers would not move. Over all I would give the bed a "3" stars.
