I purchased the merlot loft bunk bed for my granddaughter as a gift. I have been looking for about a month checking online for a good price on a good loft bed. The Discovery World merlot loft bunk bed was perfect. It is solid wood with a nice finish. It was delivered right on time. The shipping was free but I did pay extra to have it delivered inside the first doorway. Well worth the money. My daughter and her husband put the bed together quite easily, just followed the directions for reversing the drawers. The free nightstand was a great bonus. The platform for the mattress on top is very sturdy. May 9 year old granddaughter just loves her new bedroom. We are not using the double bed underneath. She has all her "Barbie" things displayed there and it looks great. Saving the double bed frame for a guest room set up.Again, a great buy and the quality is fantastic.

This wound up being so much more than we expected. I wish it had gotten to us a little sooner than it did, but we are kinda out in the boonies :0) We would definitly recomend this purchase. It may look expensive at 1st, but keep in mind it is 2 beds, a dresser and a book shelf all in one.

I ordered the bunk bed for my children and was amazed at the service I received from this company. This was my first time working with this company and I have never received this type of unique service. I ordered the bunk bed and when it was delivered, one of the parts was damaged and the night stand leg was broken. i called them right away and in my head I was thinking "OMG, what a bed idea to order online, I am going to go through hell to get them send me the new parts and how much is it going to cost?" I left them a message at 11 PM and they e-mailed me the next morning wanting pictures and when I sent them everything, they took care of everything from there on. Greg Young, who I guess is one of the company reps was just wonderful. I have never worked with a company that gave this type of service. Thank you.

We just set up the bunk bed and are amazed at the quality of the wood. We did a lot of comparison shopping prior to ordering and when were received the bunkbeds we were pleasantly supised to discover that the quality of the wood is comparable to bunkbeds we had seen at twice the price. Discovery World has a pretty good reputation from all my research. Its supposed to be pretty safe. I kept seeing this bed advertised and I decided to try it out. My kids love it. Its a steal! This product has bunk beds, drawers, and a bookcase. They delivred the bed when they said they would. Very professional. Someone from customer service actually called to see how everythin went. You don't see that kind of service these days. I'd buy from them again.

There is one large box that contains the drawers and shelves already put together which is best moved with a small handtruck/2-wheeler. Once I had everything out of the boxes I inspected the wood and everything was in good shape and the color matched what was shown on the web site. Everything was easy to put together and took me about 2.5 hours of casual work. The beds are very well made and the top bunk says it has a max weight limit of 250lbs which I'd say is right. I have no worries at all of my 70lb 6 year old sleeping on top while my 8 yr old sleeps below. The only problem I have right now which has nothing to do with the bed itself is that the ladder is so well made and easy to climb it is almost impossible for me to keep my 2 1/2 year old from climbing it and getting on top. This bed is well made and looks great and is probably one of the most inexpensive loft beds with at this quality.

Ordered on a Thursday & received on Tuesday--very quick. Was packaged very nicely. This bed looks great, but the quality of the non-wood components is questionable. We had a difficult time assembling (& we usually are really good at it) due to parts not being labeled & pre-drilled holes not lining up. It was very frustrating. The metal slats are crap & didn't fit properly, so after 2 days of use the bottom slat fell threw & bent & one of the plastic casters broke. My husband bought wood at Home Depot & made wood slats--hopefully will do the trick. We only needed a full size mattress, so ordered the one they had to eliminate another shopping trip. The mattress is awful. I can't imagine my 8 yr old sleeping on this for more than a few months. Its' so lumpy, there is no way I would ever sleep on it.
